More than just energy generation via the facade: The new PV glasses can also be integrated aesthetically into the architecture. At the same time, the PV modules meet the requirements for low-energy houses. According to the manufacturer, the new systems are cheaper than conventional products, which means that the installation pays for itself more quickly.
With the new SunEwat security controls, the „Active Glass Unit“ of AGC Glass Europe has not only cost-effective PV modules developed, the energy-saving moduls have now a new attractive design, without sacrificing performance or quality. The PV glass units are suitable for use in facades and parapets and are the result of a cooperation with the companies specializing in solar technology, Physee Technologies, Sonnenstromfabrik, SolTech and Solar Visuals.
The new products
"Vision Square", "Vision Stripe" and "SmartSkin" are intended for windows and facades in the SunEwat series. The vision products give transparent surfaces an artistic and elegant touch and generate energy, but largely retain the translucency and functionality of the glazing.
SmartSkin from Physee Technologies is a dynamic innovation for facades and combines photovoltaics with learnable sensors and intelligent building management systems.
Electricity from the glass railing
The products "Stopray Active", "Artlite Active" and "Lacobel T Active" are suitable for balustrades. With these products, the solar cells are provided with a magnetron coating, a varnish or creative designs to create new aesthetic solutions.

Artlite Active, which was developed together with Solar Visuals, can be designed as desired with pictures, colors and prints. At Lacobel T Active, the solar cells are hidden behind a high-quality gloss coating.
Stopray Active can be perfectly matched to Stopray Vision glazing products to create particularly homogeneous and aesthetic parapets that generate energy.
