In addition to many other exciting topics, the ift Fire Safety Conference will focus on the amended Construction Products Regulation (EU CPR), which came into force on 7 January 2025. It is part of the European Green Deal and places a stronger focus on environmental and sustainability aspects, product safety and the circular economy in the construction industry. The application and transition from the old to the new regulation will be staggered. Gaps in standards are gradually being closed, with the testing standards (EXAP) being continuously adapted. Harmonisation through the product standards will take place gradually over the next few years.
