As President Michele Gusti explains, 98 per cent of the companies involved in the GIMAV support this decision. Due to the corona crisis, it will not be possible to successfully hold trade fairs or exhibit there until the end of this year, according to the GIMAV. Furthermore, the safety of the people involved – visitors, stand staff and company employees – comes first. Against this background, the Association of Italian Manufacturers and Suppliers of Machines, Equipment and Special Products for Glass Processing, on behalf of the entire Italian glass industry, is calling for all events planned for 2020 to be cancelled.
Furthermore, the GIMAV declares that it will no longer take part in any trade fair event before the end of 2020, regardless of whether a planned trade fair is taking place.
