At the Glass Performance Days (GPD), the lecture programme will focus on 14 topics, including developments in ESG, LSG and laminated glass as well as insulating glass and smart glass, new architectural challenges and solutions for the facade, including structural glass solutions and oversized glass formats (XXL glass). A number of product and process case studies will be presented.
A special focus will be on issues of sustainability in the flat glass industry as well as on low-CO2 glass and the recycling of flat glass and insulating glass.
Communication and networking are top priorities
GPD 2023 will dedicate a session to this important focus topic with a series of presentations spread over two days. The session will be called 'Glass & Sustainability in Buildings' and will deal exclusively with topics such as CO2 reduction and recycling issues of flat glass as well as facades and insulating glass. GPD participants will have the opportunity to find out about the latest solutions as well as recycling processes and issues relating to the collection of recycled glass and the separation of insulating glass into its individual components.

GPD 2023 will once again offer all participants an excellent opportunity for personal networking with industry colleagues and for exchanging ideas with glass specialists from all over the world.
A large session entirely on sustainability
Organiser Brown Ondouso, who will once again ensure the smooth running of the event in Tampere with his team: "Sustainability as well as CO2 reduction in glass production and in the further processing and finishing of flat glass are increasingly important issues for all those involved in the flat glass industry. That is why we have dedicated a large session entirely to sustainability issues. The session is called 'Glass & Sustainability in Buildings'. There, new approaches to solutions for CO2 reduction as well as questions around the recycling of flat glass will be discussed. We are glad to finally be able to present our event live again. Many voices from the industry have confirmed that they have been waiting or had to wait a long time for the GPD to finally take place again." The last GPD was held in 2019.
For those who can't be there, the organisers plan to stream the opening ceremony.
How are the GPD 2023 structured?
