In constrast to what we reported here, the exhibition duo FENSTERBAU FRONTALE and HOLZ-HANDWERK 2022 will be rescheduled in close consultation with the exhibitors: In order to meet the frequently expressed wish of the companies that have already registered and to create planning security for all those involved, NürnbergMesse together with VDMA Holzbearbeitungsmaschinen as organizer of HOLZ-HANDWERK has decided to postpone the exhibition combination to Tuesday, 12 to Friday, 15 July 2022.
"Trade fairs may continue to take place, but the uncertainty of our customers is great. In addition, against the background of the dynamic infection situation, short-term adjustments or tightening of legal requirements at federal and state level unfortunately cannot be ruled out," explains Petra Wolf, Member of the Management Board at NürnbergMesse.
Sustainable hygiene concept
Since September 2021, exhibitions and congresses have again been successfully organized in the Exhibition Centre Nuremberg with a sustainable hygiene concept, which is positively and responsibly accepted by exhibitors and visitors. At the same time, NürnbergMesse responds individually to the needs of its customers and industries - resulting in different decisions for different events.

Among the exhibitors at FENSTERBAU FRONTALE and HOLZ-HANDWERK, the course of the Covid pandemic and the postponements of other industry events in the first quarter of 2022 recently caused uncertainty.
Big players to reconsider their cancellations
Elke Harreiß, Director of FENSTERBAU FRONTALE on the new situation: "With the early rescheduling [...] in the summer, we are fulfilling the wish of many exhibitors to offer an industry meeting place in 2022 where networking and business can take place with a good feeling. To this end, we are relying on a hygiene and access concept that has already been successfully implemented and that combines the needs of our customers for personal exchange on the one hand and security on the other in the best possible way. We would like to thank the numerous constructive discussions with the advisory boards and industry representatives, who were important sources of inspiration for this decision. Together with our exhibitors and partners, we look forward to seeing you again in Nuremberg from 12 to 15 July 2022, with good discussions among industry colleagues, profitable new business contacts, lots of trends and inspiration for business!"

What should be interesting now is the feedback from the companies that had already cancelled the March date with reference to the pandemic development. Some big players, such as Veka or Gealan, had already signalled in their cancellations that they would not rule out participating again if the date were postponed.
We have conducted an interview with Elke Harreiß, FRONTALE manager, about the reasons and reactions to the postponement. It will be published as part of our free GW News newsletter. Sign up now if you don‘t want to miss it!
