As one of the leading trade fairs for the security industry, the bi-annual Security Essen is a showcase for innovations. In order to also enable young companies to take part and present themselves in front of trade show visitors from all over the world, there has long been a promotional programme in cooperation with the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy. However, this only applies to German companies. Security Essen has therefore now set up its own programme for start-ups from abroad. For the first time, young international companies will benefit from this programme at the next Security Essen, which will take place at the Essen Exhibition Centre from 22 to 25 September 2020.
Prominently located in the new Hall 7, the International Start-up Area will be a highly visible platform for young companies. Here they will be able to present their new products and services to trade professionals. Julia Jacob, Head of Project for Security Essen, says "The security industry is changing. New challenges require new technologies. Many of these innovations come from young companies. We are delighted to now also be able to offer a stage to such thought leaders from abroad."
Companies must not be older than ten years
The programme for international start-ups will include a fully equipped presentation area with furniture, electricity and lettering as well as access to the trade fair website at a net price of 990 euros. Companies younger than ten years, with no more than 50 employees and an annual turnover of less than ten million euros may apply for a space within this special area.
