Designed by Ferdinand and Ferdinand Architects, the campus provides an ideal working environment for the IT industry. The building has modern architecture with open spaces and a campus flair. The heroal C 50 facade system, heroal W 72 window system and heroal D 72 door system, which offer high energy efficiency and sustainability, were installed there.
"The building was consistently adapted to existing standards and designed to reduce CO2 emissions through a variety of measures," describes Maria Nickel from Argali Real Estate GmbH. heroal's solutions also make an important contribution to the sustainability of the building in the IT Campus.
Due to their high durability, they can remain in the campus for decades until they can be recycled without loss of quality and returned to the material cycle. A total of around 120 m² of the heroal C 50 facade system, 126 heroal W 72 window elements and 16 heroal D 72 door elements were installed.
Satisfied metal constructor
Andreas Auf der Landwehr, Managing Director of Scheffer Metallbautechnik, which was involved in the realisation of the project, explains: "The client's high demands on energy efficiency and thermal insulation were fully met with the help of these solutions. The involvement of heroal as early as the planning phase also proved to be a great advantage - for example, through the joint preparation of an offer in different cost and profitability variants - and contributed to the smooth implementation. From the calculation to the conclusion, the cooperation was very trusting and goal-oriented."

The challenge in the construction of the elliptical entrance building in the IT campus was the implementation of the strongly rounded outer contour. In accordance with the architect's specifications, this was achieved with the help of a segmented façade. The fine grid dimensions of the elements make the curves look almost perfect.
heroal W 72 adapted to the undulations of the roof
The facade system was combined with the heroal W 72 window system. Thanks to its web geometry, it achieves Uw values with a basic depth of 72 mm that meet contemporary thermal insulation requirements and satisfy the client's demand for sustainability. The high energy efficiency of the window system also contributes to cost reduction.
As with the façade, the adaptation of the upper row of windows to the undulation of the building was achieved by segmenting the elements. The installation was carried out using specially cut variable connectors.
heroal doors for fire protection
The door profiles of the heroal D 72 system provide an extraordinary appearance. Designed as insert elements with a glass door panel, the doors blend harmoniously into the facade system and ensure maximum transparency in the rooms.

In accordance with the requirements of the fire protection concept, all the doors are designed for escape and rescue routes in accordance with DIN EN 179. The handles of the escape route locks ensure unhindered passage to the outside, even when the door is locked.
Thanks to its sealing technology and the insulating bars with their reduced heat conduction, the heroal D 72 door system also achieves the best insulation and sound insulation values. It thus contributes to the energy efficiency and value of the campus and makes a valuable contribution to greater sustainability.
