Located in Warsaw’s main business district, and designed like a half-raised sail, the two buildings are actually amazingly wind- and weather-resistant, as was verified in two independent tests by the Institute of Building Research and the Laboratory of the VINCI Technology Centre in the UK.
The main tower has more than 50,000 square meters of office space. The smaller building with a height of 43 meters offers an additional 15,000 square meters. The majority of the space is for offices, with additional space reserved for retail and small service companies. The Mennica Legacy Towers also feature an artfully designed outdoor public plaza. Located between the two buildings, the plaza offers abundant shaded seating space.
High-quality aluminium systems by Aluprof
Aluprof designed the custom facade systems in collaboration with the Eljako-Al company. The biggest challenge was to ensure that the facade, despite its complex uniform layout and the largest architectural form, corresponds to the highest possible technical parameters. The smaller building alone has a facade of 9,000 square meters and the higher, main tower has a facade of 30,000 square meters.
Seven system solutions were developed for this purpose. It consists of element walls and also movable walls, steep facades, cold facades and structural adhesive facades as well as panel systems with vertical pilasters.

Aluprof's MB-SE80 MLT post-and-beam element wall system is a solution designed specifically for the Mennica Legacy Tower. It was used for the largest part of the facade area of both buildings.
The wall structures consist of modules that are manufactured entirely in the production plant. The height of these modules corresponds to the height of the floor on which they are mounted. Their width is determined according to the architectural design.
Aluminium elements allow great design freedom
Thanks to the variety of shapes of the aluminium profiles and the glazing technology of the facade segments, it was possible to achieve different visual effects on the individual facades of the building according to the project specifications. The system is complemented by the MB-86 SI MLT window panel, which provides natural ventilation to deliver fresh air into the buildings.

The mullion-transom MB-SR60N MLT facade system was designed especially for the construction of facade segments on the lowest floors of the complex. The system is designed for the production of lightweight, infill curtain walls.
Mullion-transom system designed to order
The support system consists of aluminium mullion and transom profiles and integrated profiles that enclose the structure at the top and bottom. The method of facade construction as well as the MB-SE80 MLT system were designed to be both aesthetic and functional.
Aluprof has been awarded with two prestigious awards from the real estate industry in the Green Technology Solutions and Innovation of the Year categories for its MB-SE80 MLT Facade System.
A BREEAM- and LEED-certified building
The Mennica Legacy Tower complex received a BREEAM rating of ‘outstanding’ - the principles of sustainable, ecological construction were already applied in the planning phase and during construction – as well as LEED Platinum. This makes it one of the most sustainable buildings in existence today.
