The Festival Hall has a total floor area of 8,800 m2 and building dimensions of 90 m × 71 m × 22 m. The stage area is approximately 450 square metres; the auditorium seats 732 people; and the orchestra pit was the largest in the world at the time of construction, measuring 160 square metres. The free-standing wooden walls made of Canadian acacia allow the architecture to resonate and contribute to the overall acoustics.
Hueck facade, window and door systems
The windows, doors and facades were executed by the company Egon Trinkl GmbH. The company faced considerable challenges during this construction project: Especially the design of the facade, with a height of 11 metres in the top area and full glass doors.

And on the outside the facade slants down and away by 110 degrees and back by 30 degrees on the first floor. Given these challenges, the Hueck Trigon SG facade system, Hueck Lambda window and door systems as well as the Hueck Lava fire doors were deemed the best for the job.
Two contrasting buildings that also harmonise
In close proximity to the Festival Hall, there is another venue: The Passion Playhouse. The upright, white facade of this building from the 1950s stands out from the colourful landscape of the Tyrolean mountains. The black facade of the Festival Hall, which is primarily used for performances during the winter season, contrasts with its snow-covered surroundings. In a way, both concert halls also harmonise with nature and with each other.
