Lithuanian window manufacturer Roda secures IFN's supply chain in Northern Europe

The International Window Network (IFN) is strengthening its position as a leading European supplier of windows, front doors, facades and sun shading solutions. Based in Traun in Austria, this group of companies is acquiring 100% of the shares in Lithuanian window and door manufacturer Roda UAB. The final closing is expected to take place in mid-March.

With this strategic acquisition, IFN is securing the supply chain in Northern Europe and increasing security of supply within the Group. In addition to existing customers, Roda will supply other network members in Northern Europe with high-quality windows and doors in future. The site in Lithuania will also be equipped for further growth.

Tenth company in the IFN network

Roda was founded in 1991 and is successfully established in Lithuania, Denmark, Ireland and Iceland. The family business specialises in wooden windows in European, Scandinavian and English styles. With around 100 employees, the company generated a turnover of around nine million euros in 2023.

‘Roda is the perfect addition to our network,’ emphasises IFN company spokesperson Christian Klinger. ‘We are convinced that we will be able to double Roda's turnover in the long term.’

Strategic strengthening of the Northern European expansion

Paulius Monkevičius will take over the position of the future CEO of Roda.

IFN has been active in the Nordic countries since 2015. ‘Northern Europe has become a very important market for us. We want to further exploit its potential. Roda will play a decisive role in this and secure our supply chain in the long term,’ explains Klinger.

The previous owner Nerijus Kralikauskas sees the IFN Group as the right partner: ‘The International Window Network has all the prerequisites to further develop Roda in a future-proof manner. I am pleased that they are acting with great care and experience.’

To ensure an orderly handover, Kralikauskas will remain with the company as a consultant for at least six months. The position of future CEO of Roda will be taken over by Paulius Monkevičius, who has been with the company since 2004 and currently serves as COO.

As with previous IFN acquisitions, the company is focussing on continuity: the existing team and established structures will remain in place to guarantee success.

‘The integration into the International Window Network enables long-term development and is a clear enhancement of the location,’ says Monkevičius. ‘We will continue to expand our position as a top employer in the region and already see a high demand for skilled labour.’

Klinger confirms the strategic importance of this investment: ‘Thanks to our high equity ratio, we are investing anti-cyclically even in difficult times in order to strengthen our future today.’
