Whereas in the past high safety standards were predominantly applied to windows and doors, this aspect is now also sought for in other fire-resistant applications. In earlier constructions which mainly protected escape corridors, the safety aspect had to be provided by one of the panes in a double glazed unit. Now, a combination of both anti-breakability and fire-resistance can be achieved by Glass Trösch's slim, monolithic and highly protective glass, which has now been tested by the ift Rosenheim according to EN 356 (under the ift number 20-002172).
