Matthias Bach has been active at Swisspacer for 8 years. Initially working as Project Manager Supply Chain, he took over the function as Technical Director in 2017. "I am proud to lead the talented Swisspacer team I have come to trust into the future and look forward to continuing Francis Cholley's successful internationalisation course," emphasises Bach, who, in addition to a Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, has also held an Executive MBA since the beginning of this year.

Bach is very familiar with the manufacturer of warm-edge spacers. He helped set up the new sites in England and France and was instrumental in restructuring the production network in 2021. "Due to the great success of the company, we have been able to almost double production capacities through investments and efficiency increases since I joined the company. The automation and digitalisation of production processes as well as the introduction of innovative logistics concepts played a very important role in this" reports the new CEO.
What is the future course for Swisspacer?
The engineer looks to the future with confidence: "Our innovation roadmap promises many product innovations, as well as new types of services, such as intelligent load carriers or digital interfaces, which will further expand our position as a globally active, reliable partner. I am convinced that we will continue the success story of Swisspacer together with our efficient team, the usual Swiss quality standards and the proximity to our customers".

The current Managing Director Francis Cholley is moving to EuroKera, a joint venture between Saint-Gobain and Corning, as General Manager. "Swisspacer has a fantastic team, great products and tremendous growth potential" said Cholley at the baton handover. "I am absolutely convinced that Matthias is the right leader to take Swisspacer to the next level."
