The new mirror basecoats Duralux Water Based from the Fenzi Group laboratories, include a complete range of lead-free, glass-mirroring lacquers with extremely low VOC emissions - chemicals that are potentially harmful to health and the environment. This is an important innovation for mirror manufacturers, fabricators, end users and the environment, says Fenzi.
Compared to other commercially available mirror lacquers, the special formulation of Duralux Water Based - among other things - enables a VOC value that is five times lower than the market standard. Furthermore, the new water-based coatings contribute to a lower environmental impact and feature exceptional chemical resistance and longer durability.
Management and monitoring system for shipments
The water-based mirror lacquers are a single-coat, user-friendly painting system that is easy to apply by curtain or spray application, is completely lead-free, is suitable for copper-free mirrors and can even be used on most existing mirror ranges that use conventional solvent-based lacquers.

Further, the Fenzi Group now shares its recent ISO 28000 certification, which stands for supply chain security. With a special focus on shipping and logistics, Fenzi has implemented a management and monitoring system for potential risks or threats that ensures traceability of shipments and manufactured goods throughout the supply chain, optimising daily operations and speeding up any customs checks, which in turn benefits customers.
