Şişecam's Chairman and Executive Member of the Board, Ahmet Kırman, said: "Despite the ongoing macroeconomic volatility and geopolitical risks around the world, we have successfully completed a challenging year that had a different impact than previous crises and continued our growth trajectory. We are determined to maintain and develop our business activities and support the growth of the industries we serve in 2023. This will be the year we complete our comprehensive transformation step as planned."

And Kırman continues: "We are aware that sustainable success never depends on chance. We have achieved these results and sustained success by managing change with data-driven forecasting in multiple regions and our risk perception skills."
Over 6.5 billion euros in ongoing investments
Şişecam acquired Italian refractories manufacturer Refel in early 2022 to ensure the sustainability of its investments.
Kırman: "2022 was a crucial year for Şişecam. We broke ground for our plant in Hungary - our first investment in glass packaging in Europe. We also announced our investment in a new float furnace and processing line in Mersin.
Currently, Şişecam's investments total more than €6.5 billion worldwide. By 2023, Şişecam aims to grow rapidly and in a targeted manner with its production facilities in 14 countries and 24,000 employees worldwide.

Kırman expects Şişecam to have one of the most integrated technological infrastructures in the world, covering all its geographical locations, by the end of 2023, once its digital transformation is complete.
