The open-air exhibition Bad RagARTz takes place every three years in the idyllic mountain village of Bad Ragaz in Switzerland and attracts visitors from all over the world with its sculptures. Along streets, squares, parks and hotel complexes, diverse sculptures allow visitors to take a kilometre-long tour of the village.
This year, 83 artists from 16 countries are taking part in the event. Together they will exhibit around 400 works of art until 31 October 2021. Kathrin Severin will be there with her glass sculpture Tri Colore.
How is Glas Trösch involved in this artwork?
The almost three-metre-high sculpture Tri Colore by Kathrin Severin stands directly in front of the Grand Resort Bad Ragaz. For it, the artist designed ten steles made of glass in the three primary colours magenta, cyan and yellow.
Severin chose laminated safety glass (LSG) with Swisslamex Colordesign PVB interlayers from Glas Trösch for her sculpture. The glass sculpture becomes particularly exciting when the sun shines through the LSG panes: then the colourful LSG panes cast coloured shadows.
