The award was first presented in 2017 and will be presented during the GPD conference in Tampere, Finland. Nominations are open to individuals working in various fields such as product and process development, innovation, design, architecture, research or sustainability.
Nominations can be submitted online and the deadline is 5 May 2023. The winner will be announced at the GPD conference dinner on 15 June 2023.
What is the Jorma Vitkala Award all about?
The JV Award was launched in 2017 with Jean-Paul Hautekeer, Global Marketing Director at Dow, and other glass industry leaders, and was first presented in the same year. Jean-Paul Hautekeer commented: "This award is intended to honour individuals who have made their own significant contribution to the international glass industry over the years."

Anders Dahlblom, CEO of Glaston, adds: "The people we are honouring with this award have contributed to the progress of the glass industry as a whole. The award is a special recognition of important contributions to the advancement of the glass industry."
