Miralite Stadip mirror from Saint-Gobain

How to combine safety and aesthetics in mirrors

Miralite Stadip mirrors made of LSG are the right solution when particularly high demands are placed on injury protection, for example in retail, schools or sports facilities.

The mirrors are laminated with a shatter-binding PVB film. In the event of glass breakage, the fragments adhere to the film and the risk of injury is minimised. The mirrors are available in the dimensions 2.25/2.55 x 3.21 m and can be processed like normal LSG.

These mirror products also score highly in terms of sustainability: the mirror lacquer is made without copper or lead and 30 per cent of the glass used is made from recycled cullet.

What is behind Miralite Stadip Duo?

One variant from the series is Miralite Stadip Duo with mirror surfaces on both sides that are laminated back to back. This makes it possible to create amazing room situations in shopfitting, for example: Double-sided mirrored interior partition walls or double-sided mirror cabinets in bathrooms create unusual effects in interior design and convey a sense of spatial expanse.

And where is Miralite Stadip Mono used?

Miralite Stadip Mono is used as a combination of mirror and float glass for flush-fitting wall mirrors in residential and commercial spaces, as the focus here is exclusively on the function of splinter bonding.

Another area of application is lifts or sports facilities, where safety is a top priority and where sufficient rear ventilation of the mirror side is not always possible.

Miralite Stadip is a laminated safety glass in accordance with DIN EN 14449 and can be used as laminated safety glass in accordance with DIN 18008-1 thanks to the successfully proven requirements for safety glass (pendulum impact test DIN EN 12600 and falling ball test DIN EN 356).

The mirror is produced in Europe in accordance with mirror standard EN 1036 and fulfils the highest possible Eurofins value A+ with regard to the release of volatile organic compounds (VOC). The lacquer is produced without copper and lead. Recycled cullet is used in the production of Miralite Stadip, which reduces CO2 emissions during manufacture. The mirror is also recyclable at the end of its service life. Overall, this makes it a suitable recommendation for sustainable and safe interior design without compromising on aesthetics.
