International Year of Glass 2022: Opening Ceremony in Geneva

The year 2022, the United Nations International Year of Glass (IYOG), will see a series of events worldwide paying tribute to the diversity and versatility as well as the technical possibilities of glass as a material, which in the past have enabled numerous cultural and scientific advances and accompanied the development of humankind.

In the future, too, they will contribute to solving the challenges of a sustainable and fairer society, according to representatives of the global glass industry.

Glass as part of the UN Agenda for Sustainable Development

An important event among the global events as part of the International Year of Glass scheduled in different countries throughout the year is the Ceremony at the United Nations House in Geneva.
