The construction of the new company building has officially got underway with the ground-breaking ceremony on 4 May. Over the course of the next year, new production and storage space and a two-storey office building will be established on the 7,700-square-metre plot located on the site of the Dornbrunnen industrial park in Rosenfeld. Construction is scheduled for completion in the summer of 2021. Thomas Schulz, Managing Director of the medium-sized enterprise, commented: “We have had to expand our physical capacities to keep up with the increased requirements of our industry and the large volume of orders we have been receiving.”
Eurotech specialises in vacuum, lifting and transport technologies. Peter Bunnenberg founded the company in 1996; its headquarters moved to Geislingen in 2001. Over time, the company leased more and more storeys of the building it occupies. Despite the expansion of the top floor and leasing of an additional hall in Balingen, there was still more need for additional space. Eurotech spent about three years looking for a suitable building to rent – to no avail. Eventually, it decided to construct its own.
The advantages are clear: a dedicated, new building is resource-efficient, energy-efficient and offers a lot more space. These are perfect conditions for healthy and sustainable growth.
The state government of Baden-Württemberg is supporting the innovative local company in this ambitious project. Its funding programme for rural-area development aims to support the development and economic utilisation of new products and services.

The construction project is planned and managed by Bau-Cooperation in Offenburg, which anticipates a building period of approximately one year. The management and nearly 40 employees of Eurotech are excited to move into the new facilities soon. They are confident that the project will adhere to its intended schedule despite the coronavirus pandemic.
