Glass Kühnel

This is why a German IGU manufacturer puts its trust in Lisec

Today, Glas Kühnel employs around 40 people who manufacture a comprehensive range of double and triple insulating glass. This includes insulating glass with steps, glass for sound and heat insulation as well as sun shading insulating glass. LSG glass in thicknesses from 6 to 16 mm is also stored in the large glass warehouse. In addition to standard insulating glass sealants, the glass panes can also be sealed with silicone using the new Lisec line.

The company is characterised by the fact that it works very flexibly and can respond individually to customer wishes. In addition, very short delivery times are possible: as a rule, Glas Kühnel already produces the corresponding IGU units on the day the customer sends his order.

The Lisec line helps to meet the increasing demand for large and heavy IGU units.

Why was Lisec the first choice?

Glas Kühnel was so satisfied with its existing insulating glass lines from Lisec that there was no question for the company that when it invested in a new system, it would also have to be another insulating glass line from Lisec.

"The insulating glass elements and products are getting bigger and heavier. For this reason, we had to replace one of our lines in order to be able to produce such elements more efficiently," says Managing Director Florian Kühnel.

The old Lisec was taken back and dismantled by Glastronic (part the Lisec Group) in advance of the installation of the new line.

The new insulating glass line now allows Glas Kühnel to produce very large and thick glass panes - up to 5000 x 3000 mm are now possible. "We appreciate the high quality of the Lisec machines," says Stefan Kühnel. "You can simply tell that they are very well thought-out machines that contain many innovations. Compared to the old machine, a lot has changed."

How does the Lisec RSV-MHS-B simplify frame setting?

Setting the frame is a challenge, especially with large glass panes. The Lisec assembly station for spacer frames with assembly aid simplifies this process and increases operator ergonomics.

It is no longer necessary for one or more operators to climb a ladder and place the frame on the top edge. The assembly aid beam simply descends and the frame is placed on the stops.

Then, from both sides to the centre, the frame is aligned via the grippers. And finally, the bar moves to the required height and presses the frame against the glass at the top edge.

The height-adjustable roller beams automatically adjust themselves to the height of the glass edge. Four side steps are possible with the RSV-MHS-B. The adjustment of the stops is automatic. Special shapes are also no problem. Opening roller shutters for large glass panes as well as mounted LED lighting facilitate pane inspection.
