Transforming outdoor spaces with Hella's Mediterranean-inspired pergolas

The pergolas on the sun terraces of Villa Soul Sisters on the Croatian island of Korčula are a real eye-catcher. The Sintesi pergola is a timeless model with precise and reliable fabric guidance. When extended, it combines the lightness of the design with the outstanding properties of the fabric which runs inside guide rails, while the mechanism is hidden within the particularly slim structure. This is pure aesthetics with practical advantages: the roof requires 20 % less space than conventional designs when retracted.

It also offers practical protection from heat, wind and rain. The pergola is made of extruded aluminium, which features a grey aluminium powder-coating on this particular building. Countless combinations are available as alternative colours. The fabric section is pearl white in colour.

The fabric, Soltis Proof W96 in the Off White colour, protects against UV radiation, is weatherproof and at the same time allows natural light to enter. This translucent and waterproof fabric is particularly suitable for pergolas. The system is installed by means of a wall mounting.

Reach for the sky

Alternatively, the pergola is also available as a ceiling-mounted, self-supporting, gable-mounted version, or the Free version without posts. Sintesi Free, for example, is the ideal solution for existing structures: Due to the small amount of space required for the fabric drive mechanism, it fits perfectly into existing structures without difficulties. It can therefore be easily integrated from wall to wall in inner courtyards or existing balcony constructions. Vertical shading elements

The ACI Marina in Split is located in the yacht harbour of the vibrant coastal city, and is home to eight self-supporting Sintesi pergolas. They are equipped with Terra Side vertical shading. This vertical solution was developed to close off the sides of pergolas, and thus offers additional protection from sunlight and prying eyes. The Terra Side has a side seam-guided fabric for increased wind stability. The vertical shading element is suitable for direct installation on loggias, balconies or on existing wall openings.
