The new Lamilux Ventilation Flap PR60 is almost invisibly nestled in the glass roof surface. In this regard, it is not only possible to integrate it in the Lamilux Glass Roof PR60, but also in all other mullion-transom systems available on the roofing market. A special highlight of the new development: The thermal engineering of the flap.
The Glass Roof PR60 is designed, manufactured and installed by Lamilux itself – including ventilated elements. The continuous development process thereof has resulted in a new ventilation flap.
Sleek design
Apart from aesthetic considerations, it is the daylight intake that is most essential aspect of designing a glass roof. Even better, when this aspect is enhanced by the sleek frame profile of the construction, which does not protrude even at greater heights. The concealed chain drive is also discretely integrated into the profile system. The ventilation flap is almost invisibly nestled in the glass roof surface, without any noticeable reduction in the light intake. And from the exterior, the flap also matches the smooth upper surface, and integrates virtually seamlessly into the design. This not only reduces the accumulation of dirt around the edges, it also contributes to the appearance of a uniform, model surface look.
And what's more, this homogeneity is not only possible with the Lamilux Glass Roof PR60, but also with all other mullion-and-transom systems available on the market. This also makes the flaps an attractive solution for renovation projects.
Optimised energy management
Even in its standard version, the Lamilux Ventilation Flap PR60 boasts a highly efficient U value – thermally insulated and free of thermal bridges. The flap is also available in a Passive House-certified version, and contributes to the active energy management systems of modern buildings.
In-house steel construction
If a glass roof construction is required to cover large-sized spans, the mullion-transom system will need support from a steel sub-structure. And with its subsidiary company Mirotec, Lamilux has a specialist to help it here: The customer is supplied with a single source steel/glass construction – and once again the new Lamilux Ventilation Flap PR60 can be virtually seamlessly integrated into it. This combination of span size and aesthetics guarantees elegant flat-roof designs, even with large-scale projects, the company says.
