With the new glazing, Velux now offers a further opportunity to build or renovate more sustainably thanks to better thermal insulation. Due to the very good Uw value of 1.0 W/(m²K), the new glass panes are eligible for subsidies (in Germany), according to the supplier.

A more energy-efficient window with triple glazing is therefore available at a more cost-effective price than a window with double glazing, depending on the level of subsidy.
Anti-rain noise effect and sound insulation
With the "Energy" glazing, the glass pane is equipped with the anti-rain noise effect, which reduces the volume of pattering rain to a pleasant level, and fulfils the requirements of sound insulation class two.

For even more living comfort, Energy Plus glazing is still available in the Velux window programme at a small surcharge.
This offers even better sound insulation (sound insulation class 3) as well as an anti-dew and natural self-cleaning effect.
