In increasingly globalised markets, facade projects are also becoming more international than ever before. This brings very specific challenges for the implementation of building envelopes, depending on the country. The International Next Facade Summit on Tuesday, 1 December 2020 at Next Studio by Wicona + Partners in Frankfurt will shed light on these requirements. The event will be broadcast as a livestream - the lectures will be held in English.
Spectacular facades

Timeless elegance meets modern design
Tør-Christian Møglebust from DARK Arkitekter (Oslo) will use a project to show how environmentally conscious planning and façade construction can be combined with resource conservation and the importance of innovative façade systems and recycling concepts in this context. At Økern in Oslo, the architects' office used the Hydro Circal system from Wicona, one of the most environmentally friendly aluminium alloys in the industry. The architects' aim is to create a sustainable building with a long life cycle and to be awarded the BREEAM seal of approval at the ‘excellent’ level.
Lisa Rammig from Eckersley O'Callaghan (San Francisco) describes her project experiences from all over the world. The international architectural firm planned the revolutionary glass pavilion structure for the Steve Jobs Theatre at the Apple Campus in Cupertino (USA) and designed the façade of the world's tallest hybrid wooden building, the Atlassian in Sydney.
