Working closely with German robotics specialist Knittel, Lattuada has developed and installed new solutions in recent years with impressive results.
Fully automatic grinding with 1, 2 or 3 robots works perfectly, says Lattuada, often in combination with a washing machine. New applications have been developed for this, such as the automatic adjustment of spindle settings in case of wheel wear. The productivity of such lines is very high, according to the developers.

In addition to the existing robot lines, Lattuada and Knittel have developed a completely new variant: This configuration, consisting of a grinding machine with with a robot (as well as a washing machine if necessary), will be demonstrated for the first time at glasstec. The robot moves back and forth on a 7th axis in front of the grinding machine and takes over the automatic glass loading and unloading of the system.
In addition, a number of grinding and washing machines can be tested at the Lattuada stand.
