The EK stand is arranged with its frames in such a way that they "draw" visitors into the stand. This is where Eduard Kronenberg GmbH (EK) presents its wide range of products for the secure connection of spacer and glazing bar profiles and introduces a number of new products.
EK Connect products have been used for insulating glass for 40 years and have established themselves as the standard for durable profile connections made of steel as well as plastic. As a partner to all system providers, EK has developed a comprehensive modular system of accessories - always in close consultation with profile manufacturers and users.
"We listen. We deliver solutions," Remigiusz Zamaro from EK Application Technology tells GLASWELT. So now also a solution that unites the two worlds of EK Steel and EK Polo Connect: a hybrid steel longitudinal connector with plastic bridge, which EK will be presenting for the first time at glasstec. This is used to securely seal the back of the profile in (large) ISO units, more or less as a tube-in-tube principle.
EK has also expanded its modular system for highly insulating High Performance Spacers: in addition to longitudinal connectors, users can now also find corner and model angles as well as brand new crossbar connectors.

The steel longitudinal connector for HPS profiles is presented in a new design and follows on from the perfect properties of the well-known EK PSC series - high profile tolerance absorption, user-friendly handling, efficient desiccant filling and a permanent, secure hold.
As an alternative, EK offers the Omega connector for high-performance spacers. Here, a stiffener ensures stability and sealing to the SZR. The connector offers toothing for better grip in the profile and improved connector ends for optimised profile coupling.
"One key fits for all"
The motto of the EK Polo Connect plastic corner connectors of the HPS series is "One key fits for all", because they fit many high-performance profiles and set standards in terms of safe processing: high stability, no cracking of brittle warm edge profiles, lamellae for sealing the profile joint and for tolerance absorption, longer connector legs for increased load-bearing capacity with large frames and recesses for sealant absorption.
New in EK's portfolio are the cross connectors for HPS spacers. These are made of fogging-free polyamide and offer many advantages: Easy insertion, tight fit, absorption of the profile tolerances, relief of the butt joint of the SAN profiles and avoidance of plat...cing of the spacers. The crossbars are available in black, grey and white.

Of interest to ISO manufacturers are the optimised steel longitudinal connectors for aluminium spacers. The new flat gill shape is more robust, more flexible and has an even more excellent feel than the previous product.
Highlight: EK goes digital
glasstec is an innovation and information platform for the global glass industry. The ideal setting for EK to give customers and interested parties an outlook on possible digitalisation in the inter-pane space. Visitors can look forward to intelligent solutions that use mobile applications to make their lives easier, more sustainable and safer. EK has the right solution with a newly developed product and presents a completely new, smart and self-sufficient monitoring technology as an innovation.
Ralf M. Kronenberg told GLASWELT magazine: "EK has the perfect solution for every requirement. By the way: with the convenient filter functions of the EK Connect product search on our website, finding the right connecting elements for glass edge bonding is pure pleasure - why not take a look around before glasstec!"
