When the glasstec trade fair opens its doors in Düsseldorf from 22 to 25 October 2024, over 1200 exhibitors will present an impressive range of innovations and technologies on 60,000 m². The special show ‘Handwerk Live’ will present the visions of the glass processing trade of tomorrow. Here‘s what you can expect:

Craftspeople from all over Germany and neighbouring countries are invited to demonstrate their skills, exchange ideas with colleagues and discover the latest trends in glass and construction glass.

Meeting place for the glass processing trade

glasstec is the world's leading trade fair for the glass industry with more than 1,230 exhibitors from over 50 countries.

The joint booth of the German Glaziers' Association in Hall 10, Stand C60, is traditionally the central meeting point for the glass processing trade. A comprehensive programme will be offered there, focusing on practical applications and further training in the glazier trade.

Craft businesses will have the opportunity to find out about new techniques and equip themselves for the future.

WorldSkills Germany - where the glass professionals of tomorrow compete

Promoting young talent: Another highlight of the trade fair is the national preliminary round of WorldSkills Germany. Here, six talented glaziers under the age of 25 will compete to qualify for EuroSkills 2025.

Spectators can experience this exciting competition up close and marvel at the outstanding skills of the participants.

Craftsmanship at its finest - the ‘glass art’ exhibition

For all those interested in the artistic side of glass, the special ‘glass art’ exhibition in Hall 16 offers a fascinating selection of artworks made of glass. International galleries will be presenting impressive works that demonstrate the versatility of the material.
