Vacuum insulating glass to be available in larger formats

A good five years after its market launch, Fineo is using the glasstec trade fair to present its constantly growing range of vacuum insulating glass for windows and facades to a broad specialist audience. At the trade fair stand, visitors will have the opportunity to gain a comprehensive insight into the developments and product innovations.

‘glasstec offers us the ideal platform to show that our vacuum insulating glass technology has everything that the building envelope of the future requires,’ says Roland Skomda, Sales Manager DACH at Fineo by AGC. Fineo offers significant energy savings, enables sleek façade aesthetics with high transparency and also contributes to the circular economy - a topic that is particularly in focus at this year's glasstec.’

As a reminder: Fineo vacuum glass uses two thin glass panes separated by a cavity with a vacuum of just 0.1 mm. This design reduces the thickness of the IG units to just 7.7 mm.

The reduced weight and excellent insulation values make Fineo a versatile option for new builds and refurbishments. The company sees great potential in façade construction in particular, as the slimline glass weighs less on the façade construction and can therefore be used more flexibly.

New products at glasstec

At the trade fair, the Fineo by AGC team will also be announcing the launch of new products such as Fineo-T, which will be available in lengths of up to 3000 mm from next year.

This expansion offers additional design freedom, especially in the new construction of large-area glass facades. According to the glass supplier, numerous well-known system providers are already offering suitable profile solutions for the integration of Fineo glass, which facilitates its use in contemporary façade construction.

Fineo also suitable for listed buildings

Fineo also offers customised solutions for listed buildings, such as Fineo Heritage, which fulfils high aesthetic demands with its antique-looking glass surface.
