On June 16, 2025, Lucia Masutti will assume the role of General Director of GIMAV. At the same time, she will also join the board of the international glass industry trade fair Vitrum.
Lucia Masutti is currently the General Director of the Glass Group, the largest Italian group for flat glass processing, and Chair of the Transformers Section at Assovetro.

With her extensive industry knowledge, strategic networking experience, and institutional expertise, she brings the ideal qualifications to lead the glass industry into a new phase of development.

Lucia Masutti focus will be on strengthening connections within the glass value chain, fostering dialogue between companies, research and institutions, and strategically advancing Vitrum.
Masutti has announced a new membership program for GIMAV aimed at reinforcing the association’s foundation and expanding innovative services.
A New International Profile for the Vitrum Trade Fair
For the Vitrum exhibition, her goal is to reposition the event on the international stage. Topics such as robotics, AI, and sustainability will increasingly shape its identity. Growth regions such as North Africa, Southern Europe, and Southeast Asia will also play a key role.
To achieve these goals, close cooperation with economic institutions such as the Italian Trade Agency (ITA) is planned. The long-term objective is to establish Vitrum as a central platform for an innovative and forward-looking glass industry.
