SimShade is software that can perform climate-based calculations for glass and shading systems, including complex window systems. The SimShade update has it‘s own website, where users can work on a facade simulation and also create test reports that provide a comprehensive overview of the technical data, economy and environmental specifications of the facade.
Helle Foldbjerg Rasmussen, Head of Technical Support at MicroShade: "We saw that the holistic approach to assessing and comparing different facade systems - not only in terms of technical values, but also in terms of economy and environmental benefits - was also lacking in many other building parties."
Have you heard of the Bucky Lab?
It is where facade and sun shading prototypes are conceived by students of the TU Delft
Based on real weather data: Today a good indoor climate is increasingly in the foreground, which is why SimShade also carries out evaluations of facade systems on simple room structures based on real weather data. This enables a quick assessment of the thermal indoor climate, the outlook and view for building users, the available daylight and the total operating costs over 25 years.
Such points can now be determined with the new SimShade online simulation tools, evaluated and passed on to other building parties. Here is the link to the SimShade website at
