This is new: "Stopray Ultraselect 60/27", as a triple silver-coated solar control glass, is the front-runner in terms of selectivity (S = 2.22): With an excellent g-value of only 27 percent, it effectively protects rooms from overheating in summer and thus reduces the air conditioning load. At the same time, it transmits 60 percent of visible daylight, for maximum daylight utilisation and bright rooms all year round.

The light reflection is low at 11 percent to the outside and 15 percent to the inside - this and the excellent colour neutrality favour an undistorted view. With a Ug-value of only 1.0 W/(m2K), the glazing protects rooms from cooling down in cold temperatures, which saves heating costs and protects the climate.
More new Stopray coatings
Two further new additions to the AGC range are the double silver-coated and particularly colour-neutral "Stopray Neutral 60/33(T)" and "Stopray Neutral 50/27(T)" for modern architectural projects.
The pre-stressable variants (T-Coatings) of both products can be bent and further refined, for example. And they can be perfectly combined in the façade: the T-versions are easily installed next to the respective non-tempered product - the view is identical. This comes into play, for example, when flat panes are to be installed next to curved panes in the façade, with identical aesthetics.
Stopray Neutral 60/33(T) allows an excellent 60 percent of visible daylight into the room with a high g-value (33 percent), which ensures bright rooms that are protected from overheating.
Stopray Neutral 50/27(T) still transmits a respectable 50 percent of visible daylight with an even stronger solar control (g-value = 27 percent). The low light reflection to the outside is 13 percent, to the inside even only 11 percent - for reduced reflections and good transparency. The low Ug value of 1.0 W/(m2K) reduces the heating requirement on cold days. The values mentioned apply to the double construction, but the solar control glass is also available as triple insulating glass.

All existing basic glass products from the Stopray family have been awarded the "Cradle to Cradle" sustainability certificate in silver and are also available as "low carbon" variants as part of AGC's new CO2-reduced production. By using them, architects and planners improve the classification of their buildings in environmental certifications according to DGNB, LEED, BREEAM, etc.
