As early as 1989, according to Edgetech, the company was the first manufacturer worldwide to introduce flexible, foam-based warm edge spacer systems.
Since then, there has been an immense jump in innovation in the window and facade technology. Today, Edgetech’s Super Spacer have come a long way: Energy efficiency, indoor comfort and automated insulating glass production as well as also the aesthetics of the edge seal have progressed significantly.
In addition to the tried-and-tested Super Spacer variants for robot-assisted and manual application, the structure of Super Spacer T-Spacer SG was specially developed to meet the requirements of the structural glazing and XXL glazing market. Already low tolerances for the spacers in large multi-pane IGUs have become even more precise and the overall system ever more robust.
In addition, at the Vitrum trade fair, Edgetech will show a selection of new colour variants and samples in ruby and green. They complement the standard colours Light Grey, Grey, White and Black.
However, the key argument for flexible warm edge spacer remains its Psi value of up to 0.028* W/mK. This puts the Super Spacer in the top league of energy-efficient spacers.
