The programme includes more than ten GPD workshops that are 4-to-8-hour intensive courses focusing on techniques and skills in a particular field. The selection of subjects is wide – including but not limited to market opportunities, recycling of glass, tempering and lamination. Each workshop provides a thorough overview of one of the glass industry’s most pressing issues.
Some highlights of the programme

June 15–16, 2023: Technical Conference sessions
The conference will have 6 parallel technical sessions organized each day. In total, over 120 face-to-face presentations will be given by glass industry experts over two days. More information can be found here.
June 14–16, 2023: Evening networking activities
All conference days will conclude in networking activities in the evening.
Special event for start-ups and entrepreneurs
The conference exhibition will further provide glass industry companies, media, associations, research, and academic institutions a platform for networking and commercial discussions with like-minded professionals.
Additionally, as the world transitions rapidly into rapid digitalization and new ways of working, the glass industry, too, needs entrepreneurial start-ups to bring innovations to the market:
In 2017, GPD began bringing start-ups and scale-ups to participate in the Step Change event. At this event, companies will present their new technologies and disruptive ideas to the industry with the aim of stimulating growth and development.

For many GPD guests, evening networking activities are some of their favorite times. These are great opportunities to meet old friends, make new ones, catch up on the latest news. This more relaxed part of the conference has always played a big role in the success of the event.
Sustainability at the heart of the conference
Sustainability and low-carbon materials are gaining rapid popularity across the world. New buildings must now reach a much higher sustainability bar to meet net-zero carbon goals. Using sustainable glass is one solution.
For GPD, sustainability has always been a natural inherent topic and an important part of the conference from the start. Over the years, GPD has addressed how glass innovations are providing solutions to global challenges, including sustainable architecture for present and future societies.

And the upcoming GPD edition is no exception: With environmental issues again as part of the agenda, the event will look more deeply at how glass can support the UN’s global sustainability goals.
