Who will be presenting at the NEXT Facade Summit?
Benjamin Beer from Werner Sobek (Dubai): This internationally respected office combines engineering, design and sustainability. The goal is to create a constructed environment that is aesthetically pleasing and suitable for generations to come. Noteworthy projects include Kuwait International Airport and the EDGE ElbSide office building in Hamburg's HafenCity district.
Sveinung Chercka-Simonsen from Schmidt Hammer Lassen Architects (Copenhagen): This award-winning firm is regarded as a leader in Scandinavia. Designs that focus on people – architecture should sustainably improve the quality of life. Current highlights include the VIA business tower (Oslo) and the planned 100-meter-high Rocket & Tigerli wooden residential tower (Switzerland).
Christian Eichinger from KSP Engel (Munich): The credo of this internationally active office is "Architecture begins with people". This also means that architectural thinking and action always incorporates ecological, economic and socio-cultural aspects. Noteworthy projects: the Great Mosque in Algiers and the Shenzhen Art Museum and Library.
Giuseppe La Ferla from Chapman Taylor Global Architects and Masterplanners (Madrid): This multiple award-winning global player combines creativity, an interdisciplinary approach, customer orientation and sustainability – for the design of creative and livable buildings. The best examples are Airport City in Jeddah and the impressive Deniz Mall shopping world in Baku.
